Greetings. You have found my little portion of the blogosphere that is devoted to my photography over many genres.
I am an advanced amateur/semi-pro photographer that calls San Angelo, Texas my adopted home (though I'm hardly ever home due to my "real" job.) I specialize in nature photography these days, with a special emphasis on birds and butterflies. I have and do shoot other things, but nature is where I feel most at home.
I have a serious soft spot in my heart for Iceland. I was blessed to be able to spend nearly 7 years in the Land of Fire and Ice and it was Iceland that pushed me towards photography. I own and maintain picturesfromiceland.com with a collection of my images during that part of my life. It is going through a major makeover right now and the link above is pointed to the beta which works but does not have all the blanks filled in (yet).
I hope to return in a couple of years to make some more images, experience her beauty, and eat a few lamb dogs.
To finance that future expedition, I sell prints through jmillerphoto.com.
So what can you expect to find here? Quick notes about where and what I'm taking pictures of, progress reports on the web rebuild(s), new images available for sale, and news about art show appearances and exhibits, and the occasional rant or rave about something in the photographic world.
And when can you expect to find it? I'm hoping at least weekly, though more often if it warrants it and less often if I find myself completely buried in my currently more financially satisfying occupation.
So again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
